what is reality is what

what is reality is what, is an original acrylic mixed media painting done on an 18" x 14" canvas. I painted this piece throughout the weeks following my car being stolen. I was using the canvas as somewhat of an emotional punching bag. All my anger, fear, anxiety, confusion, insecurities...it all went onto that canvas. I wasn't planning on it becoming anything beyond that. However, once I started to accept my situation and acknowledge how it connected with my life; embracing the darkness, I started adding the sharp black bits of the piece. Then, it all started to come together. Similarily, I experienced an immense sense of understanding. I got a feeling of knowing, of being. I let go. My reality shifted, everything changed.
 
This piece will come completed with a glass-like resin finish.
